Journal @ the Eucalyptus Tree

the story of how kevin and james picked up four chicks in a dunkin’ donuts parking lot late at night in the freezing rain and snow while cops glared ominously at them because james was picking up four strange girls, not all of whom would have seatbelts, and james was triple parked AND blocking the parking lot entrance. oh yeah, and we had been drinking.

April 1st, 2009

ummm… well i guess that just about sums it up…

microsoft paint illustration to go here! (gives me something to do on the flight to tokyo!)

update: okay, well i lied. i intended to do another illustration, a la deer murderer, larissa barrido and the inflatable play pit of doom, or that time i nearly hooked up with a fourteen-year-old… but i ended up watching three movies and listening to the new john legend and taylor swift albums instead.

speaking of which, I LOVE ASIA!!! (and by “asia,” i mean extremely extremely fine asian girls. and by love, i mean an action verb of the sexiest and kinkiest kind!)

god i’m gonna have like ten accidental kids by the time i get out of here!

the group. the girls were all pretty and fun enough. except for the fat, ugly one. yeah, you know which one i’m talking about. ughhhhh! ::james shudders:: i considered harpooning her like an overbloated whale, but i didn’t think that would go over too well with her friends…

happy thanksgiving

November 27th, 2008

james spends another study session getting high on markers:

this thanksgiving, i am thankful for a job where i get paid no matter how much work i do (or don’t do), and i can’t get fired, no matter what! yay for salaries and wars!

aren’t you thankful your taxpayer dollars are being well spent?! =p

study time

November 26th, 2008

the aforementioned blackboard drawing (notice the origami cranes)

well, in light of the continuous failures, they’re restructuring our study time into two-hour small group study sessions with capt. ruth. this is a bad thing, because it means i can no longer spend study time drawing on the dry erase boards and blackboard! i’m actually going to have to study!

we have two more exams left. if i pass them, i should be on track to make honor grad. so far no more than five people are left in the running. so we’ll see.

african switchplates

September 27th, 2008

i’m really happy. i just bought three carved wood light switch covers! i got an elephant, a giraffe, and a zebra. hopefully this will give a little bit more life to my dreary BOQ!

elephants are one of my favorite animals. farizah always used to call me her elephant, because i would always carry all her stuff, including her! one time i carried her up two flights of stairs, just for her to tell me to turn around so we could get her laundry from the basement. i turned around, carried her down three flights of stairs, gathered her laundry with her still on my back, then carried her and her laundry up three flights of stairs back to her room! she was always so amazed how strong i was, and she thought it was really sexy.

thinking about it puts a smile to my face. i really loved her so much. being with her was the time of my life, and i took pride in having her as my girl. i always showed her off and bragged about her to everyone! i miss her.

passing the time at bolc ii

July 30th, 2008

great news! the plumbing at the forward operating base exploded, sending raw sewage oozing out all over the fob. as a result, we were forced to evacuate back to the barracks! a small victory for morale in a place that methodically crushes it…

meanwhile, here’s a picture i drew while trying to pass the time…

lots of pics from us weapons day are on the way!

another day, another (taxpayer) dollar

June 27th, 2008

so today i earned my taxpayer money by helping set up a new whiteboard system that captures anything you write on it and sends it wirelessly to a laptop. it’s pretty sweet.

so of course i had to try it out…

yup, it works.  except for the two random red streaks.  i named the elephant james! :)
